If you do not agree please do not use or access any of our services. This privacy policy also explains certain legal rights that you have concerning your personal data. This policy is a part of and incorporated with the Terms of Use of HireWing available at our website.

The term “you” may denote as applicable the following:

  1. any of our customers (companies) who may subscribe to any of our services such as HireWing Platform and/or Cloud Sourcing Platform (“Customers”);

  2. the recruitment vendors of our customers;

  3. the freelancer recruiters of our Customers;

  4. the candidates or employees of our Customers;

  5. the candidates or employees of Hirewing;

  6. any individuals who participate in any of our sponsored events;

  7. any individuals who use our website or mobile application.

In the cases referred to under (b) to (d) above, any data that is provided to us is solely from the Customers. We do not have any direct interaction from the individuals whose data is provided to us. For the avoidance of doubt, the wording “any data that is provided to us is solely from the Customers” means that the data will be uploaded by the Customers or their authorized representatives on our HireWing Platform and/or Cloud Sourcing Platform or any other similar platforms and/or transmitted to us in the course of us providing services to the Customers.

'Personal information' or 'personal data' as used in this Privacy Policy refers to data that relates to an identified individual or to an identifiable individual. For instance, your name, address, email, company contact information, or details derived from interactions via our websites and at events, for instance, could be included in this.

    8. Other identifiable information that you voluntarily provide such as in emails, calls or letters you send or in job interviews or assessments;

For the avoidance of doubt, the above information stated under (b) to (d) is solely collected by the Customers and it is possible that they may collect and/or share more or less information than what is stated above and we do not have any control on their collection or usage practices.

How is the information collected

  2. An individual:

    • provides information to our Customers and they in turn pass such information to us;

    • creates an HireWing account to access HireWing products and services;

    • submits job application to us or get hired by us;

    • registers for or attends a HireWing sponsored event;

    • visits our offices;

    • fills out forms on our website or for any events;

    • registers for a demo of our products or services;

    • enters a contest or promotion sponsored by us;

    • contacts us for any information, assistance, complaint, or reporting an incident;

    • participates in our surveys.

 

  1. Also, we may receive personal data regarding you from our business partners whom we may involve to manage our events that we organise. We also use third parties for reporting and analytics purposes and such third parties may provide data regarding you when you access any of our services such as our website or mobile application. If you are applying for a job with us, we may collect information from third parties such as for references or background checks, or from recruiters.

  2. Information about you may also be provided by third party sources, such as data aggregators who may not have a relationship with you or by third parties who collect information about you on behalf of HireWing such as when you download a whitepaper

After you create a HireWing account to use HireWing products and services or go to an event that HireWing sponsors, for example, HireWing may process information about you that was directly obtained from you both offline and online. Additionally, third parties who gather information about you for HireWing, such as when you download a file, may offer information about you, such as data aggregators who may not be in a connection with you.

    7. send administrative information such as changes to our products, website, services, applications or obtain any required consent;

    8. authentication and authorization to access our applications;

    9. contact you for marketing purposes, in accordance with your marketing preferences

    10. internal record keeping;

    11. protect and improve our products, websites, services, and applications;

    12. comply with our legal or contractual obligations;

    13. enforce our Terms of Use, SAAS agreement and other relevant documents;

    14. respond to law enforcement requests;

    15. prevent and detect fraud;

    17. conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and similar other purposes;

  1. We may combine personal data obtained from third parties with personal data provided to us by you. This is necessary to improve or modify our services so that we can provide better and improvised products and services to you.

4.Sharing of Information

  1. Except as stated herein, we do not share, sell, rent, transfer or disclose to any third party, any information collected unless you provide us consent or as required by applicable law.

 

  1. Our servers where data is stored are located in Canada. So processing operations are performed outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, or the UK. In such case, we will transfer your information in compliance with the applicable laws on data privacy and you consent to transfer of data subject to such safeguards.

By using our website, services, products or any applications, you acknowledge that any personal data about you, regardless of whether provided by you or obtained from a third party, will be hosted on servers based in Canada, and you authorize us to transfer, store and process your information to and in Canada and possibly other countries.

  1. We have a legal obligation. This includes processing your information to comply with any legal obligation such as to give information including your personal information to any regulatory authorities on their request or to prevent any fraud.

This includes processing information when there is a legitimate interest such as to protect rights of any party including protecting your interests where we find it necessary to do so. For example, when we collect website usage data for the purpose of analyzing the use of website and improving the website or services, providing customer support, marketing of our products and services.

6.Children’s Information

8.Data Controller and Data Processor

In case we obtain your information from our Customers such as the information specified under Section 2(b) to 2(d), all of your information is controlled by such Customers and they are the data controllers. We are only a data processor in such case. For the avoidance of doubt, in such cases we do not have any direct relationship with you. If you are a vendor, freelance recruiter, candidate or employee of one of our Customers, please contact that relevant Customer.

 

  1. In case we collect personal data from the Customers as part of administration and delivery of our services to Customers as is reflected Section 2(a), we will be the data controller.

 

  1. In case we obtain information from you directly such as when you apply to any of our jobs, we become a data controller.

9.Retaining your Information

 

  1. In case we obtain your information from our Customers, we will retain such information for the duration as directed by those Customers or as otherwise necessary to comply with any of our legal obligations.

 

  1. We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary when collected directly by us. We will retain your information as long as we have a continuing relationship with you such as you are availing any services from us.

 

  1. We will retain the information to comply with any of our legal or contractual obligations.

 

  1. On the expiry of any foregoing stated periods, as applicable, we will either delete or de-identify your personal information.

10.Security

 

  1. We shall take reasonable measures to prevent unsanctioned access, misuse, loss, destruction, or alteration of your personal information under our control by putting in place necessary security measures. These measures include SSL (Secure Sockets Layered) technology to ensure that your information is fully encrypted and sent across the Internet securely. We have a dedicated team to monitor and respond to security incidents and data breaches in accordance with applicable law. Your information is securely stored using cloud services at our secure servers in Canada.
